Frequently Asked Questions
We get skeptical questions every day. Good. We'd rather answer them clearly than have you spend 669 kr on something you're not sure about.
Does it actually work?
Yes. The data comes from peer-reviewed ingredient studies, not marketing. Every active in Vector ONE has been independently clinically tested. Here are the key published results:
These numbers come from published studies for each ingredient: PAD (Maramaldi et al.), Retinol (Jun et al. 2021), the peptide complex (CIR 2012), and others cited on our science page. Every active is dosed at the concentration used in those trials. Not a token amount. The therapeutic dose.
Still not sure? That is exactly what the 90 day guarantee is for. Try it. If you don't see a visible difference, we return every krone, no questions.
The timeline is driven by what each ingredient does at the biology level:
- Days 1–7: Glycerin restores the moisture barrier. Published data shows 85% visible barrier repair within 30 days. You'll feel it in the first week: less post-shave tightness, reduced dryness.
- Weeks 1–6: PAD clears redness. Clinical data shows 95% redness reduction and 56% less burning and sensitivity over 6–12 weeks. The formula stops actively irritating your skin before anything else can work.
- Weeks 3–8: Argireline (AH8) reduces expression line depth 30–48% within 30 days. Vitamin C starts brightening: 52% less melanin transfer recorded at 16 weeks.
- Months 3–12: Retinol compounds. Published data: 44% fewer wrinkles and 84% less pigmentation at 12 months. The peptide complex (PT-1 + PT-7) shows 45% reduction in deep wrinkle surface area at 56 days, compounding from there.
Vector ONE doesn't produce results because of one thing. It produces results because 8 actives are working in sequence. The early results are real. The structural changes take months and don't stop.
The formulation is calibrated for male skin biology, which has distinct properties regardless of skin type. Each concern is addressed by a specific active:
- Oily skin: Niacinamide at 7% reduces sebum and minimises pores. Published data shows 62% reduction in melasma and measurable sebum normalisation within 8 weeks.
- Dry skin: Glycerin at 4% provides immediate barrier restoration (85% visible barrier repair in 30 days). Sodium Hyaluronate and Saccharide Isomerate bond to keratin for sustained deep hydration.
- Sensitive skin: PAD at 8% showed zero adverse events in clinical testing, comparable to placebo. No fragrance, no alcohol, no parabens, no sulfates.
- Post-shave irritation: PAD's anti-inflammatory action directly addresses the barrier damage daily shaving creates. 95% redness reduction in 6 weeks is specifically relevant here.
What makes it different?
If previous skincare didn't work, there are three likely reasons:
- Sub-clinical concentrations: Most brands use 0.5–2% niacinamide (we use 7%), 0.1% retinol (we use 0.3%), or "trace" peptides. These amounts appear on labels but don't produce results at the biology level.
- Wrong biology: Most products are formulated for female skin and repackaged. Men's skin is 25% thicker with 3× higher sebum output. A formula designed for female skin doesn't penetrate to the same depth or address the same concerns.
- Surface hydration only: Moisturisers hydrate at the stratum corneum (outer layer). Results disappear when you stop using them because nothing structural has changed. Vector ONE works at the dermal level where collagen synthesis happens.
If the last product you tried didn't change how your skin looks in 30 days, it wasn't working. That's not your skin's fault.
This isn't marketing. It's anatomy:
- 25% thicker dermis: Active ingredients need higher concentrations and smaller molecular weights to penetrate to the layer where collagen is produced.
- 3× higher sebum output: Formulas designed for dry female skin add lipids that cause breakouts on oily male skin.
- 365 shave events per year: Daily shaving creates micro-barrier damage that most serums don't address. Vector ONE includes Panthenol specifically for this.
- Later but faster aging: Male collagen loss accelerates at 1.5× the rate once it begins. Anti-aging formulas designed around gradual female aging don't match this pattern.
Vector ONE is not a women's formula in different packaging. The concentrations, molecular weights, and specific actives are calibrated around male skin biology.
Because it contains the actives that address every core male skin concern in a single formula:
- Anti-aging: Retinol + Peptide Complex
- Brightening + antioxidant: 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (stable Vitamin C)
- Oil control + pores: Niacinamide at 7%
- Deep hydration: Sodium Hyaluronate + Saccharide Isomerate + Sodium PCA
- Barrier repair: Squalane + Shea Butter + Allantoin
- Post-shave recovery: Panthenol + Allantoin + Centella Asiatica Extract
- Fine line reduction: Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 + Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1
Most men need all of these. Using 7 separate products creates application confusion, active ingredient conflict risk, and unnecessary cost. One formula, applied correctly, is more effective than a poorly-sequenced stack.
Is it worth 669 kr?
At 2 pumps per night, a 100ml bottle lasts 90 days. That's about 7.46 kr per day.
You're not comparing 669 kr serum to a 90 kr moisturiser. You're comparing one formula with 35.3% active-ingredient payload at clinical concentrations to seven separate products that individually cost 112 kr–298 kr each. The equivalent stack, correctly dosed, costs more than 669 kr.
More importantly: the 90 day guarantee means you're not risking 669 kr. The ingredient studies are public. Read them on our science page. If the published data convinces you and the product doesn't deliver, we refund you in full.
You can. The question is whether it will work.
Most "men's serums" under 224 kr use 0.5–2% active concentrations. Amounts that appear on labels but don't meet the clinical thresholds. This is how brands keep margins at volume pricing: the active ingredient is in there, but not at the dose that produces the result.
Vector ONE uses 7% Niacinamide (clinical threshold: 5–10%), 0.3% Retinol (effective range: 0.1–0.3%), 6% 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, and 8% PAD, all within or at the top of the ranges used in the peer-reviewed studies that produced the published results. These are not premium-tier doses. They're the doses the clinical literature says are required for the results we cite.
If you've already tried cheaper options and seen results, stick with them. If you haven't, that is probably why.
Is it safe?
Vector ONE contains no synthetic or natural fragrance (the #1 cause of cosmetic contact dermatitis), no alcohol, no sulfates, no parabens, no silicones, and no mineral oils.
The formula is hypoallergenic and every active sits inside its published tolerability range. These are the doses the irritation data says skin handles night after night.
On retinol sensitivity: Some users experience mild dryness or flaking in the first 1–2 weeks. This is normal. Your skin is accelerating cell turnover. To avoid this, apply every other day for the first two weeks, then move to daily. The adjustment passes.
If you have a known retinol sensitivity, start with a patch test on your inner arm for 48 hours. If you experience a genuine reaction beyond normal retinol adjustment, our guarantee covers a full refund.
Yes, fully. Vector ONE complies with EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, the world's strictest cosmetic safety standard, and the updated fragrance allergen restrictions under EU Regulation 2023/1545.
The formula contains none of the 80+ restricted fragrance allergens under the updated EU list. It is manufactured in a GMP-certified (ISO 22716) facility and tested for active ingredient concentration, microbial purity, heavy metals, and stability before every release.
How do I use it?
The whole routine is three steps:
- Wash your face
- Apply 2 pumps of Vector ONE
- Go to sleep
That's it. 30 seconds. No serum, then toner, then moisturiser, then eye cream. Vector ONE replaces all of that.
Morning or night? Night is strongly recommended. Retinol degrades in UV light, making morning application less effective. Night application also aligns with your skin's natural repair cycle, which peaks during sleep.
If you want to add SPF in the morning. Highly recommended for anyone over 30. Apply it after your morning wash. That's the only addition worth making.
With a beard: Apply to exposed skin areas normally. Avoid applying into dense beard hair. The actives are for your skin, not your beard. It works perfectly on beard-adjacent skin including cheeks, forehead, and neck.
After shaving: Wait 10–15 minutes after shaving for initial skin calming, then apply normally. Panthenol at 0.4% in Vector ONE specifically addresses post-shave barrier repair and razor burn inflammation. It is one of the reasons we included it. Avoid applying to open cuts.
Vector ONE is designed to be a complete routine. If you have products you want to keep:
- Compatible: SPF (apply 5 min after Vector ONE), gentle cleansers, eye cream to the orbital bone area
- Alternate nights: AHAs and BHAs (glycolic acid, salicylic acid) should be used on separate nights to avoid over-exfoliation
- Avoid same application: Other Vitamin C serums and other retinol products. Layering actives increases irritation risk without improving results
The simplest setup that maximises results: Vector ONE at night + SPF moisturiser in the morning. Nothing else needed.
The ingredients
Niacinamide works across four simultaneous pathways: sebum regulation, pore reduction, lipid barrier strengthening, and melanin transfer inhibition. The published data at therapeutic concentrations:
- Melasma and pigmentation: 62% reduction in melasma at 8 weeks (Hakozaki et al. 2002)
- Barrier repair via ceramide synthesis: Niacinamide stimulates the skin to produce 4.1–5.5× more ceramides, the lipids that hold the barrier together. The ceramides are made by your skin in response to the ingredient, not added directly (Tanno et al. 2000)
- Sebum and pores: Normalises keratin production and sebum output, directly reducing pore size. Male skin produces 3× more sebum, making this the most critical active for that biology.
We use 7%. Within the 5–10% clinical threshold range. Most men's serums use 2–4%, below the threshold where any of these effects are measurable.
Retinol is the most clinically proven anti-aging active available without a prescription. The published results at 0.3%:
- 44% fewer wrinkles at 12 months
- 84% less pigmentation at 12 months
- Nano-encapsulated delivery releases at the epidermal-dermal junction, the exact layer where collagen synthesis occurs (Jun et al. 2021)
The encapsulation means gradual time-release rather than a surface flood. Some users experience mild dryness in weeks 1–2 as cell turnover accelerates. That is the retinol working. To minimise it, apply every other night for the first two weeks. Fully approved under EU Cosmetics Regulation at 0.3%.
L-Ascorbic Acid (regular Vitamin C) requires pH below 3.5 to penetrate skin, oxidises rapidly once opened, and at that pH reacts with niacinamide, making the two incompatible in the same formula. 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid solves all three problems.
Published data for 3-OEA (Folle et al. 2024):
- 35.6% epidermal retention and 18.4% dermal retention, meaning it actually reaches the dermis where collagen is produced
- Collagen-I increase of 1,078% in dermal fibroblasts
- 20% firmer skin in 28 days
- 52% less melanin at 16 weeks
At 6%, stable throughout the bottle's full shelf life, fully compatible with niacinamide and retinol at the formula's pH. Standard Vitamin C serums can't achieve any of this.
Vector ONE uses three distinct peptides, each with a different mechanism and published data:
- Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (Argireline): Inhibits the SNAP-25 protein in the SNARE complex, reducing the neurotransmitter release that drives facial muscle micro-contractions. Published result: 30–48% reduction in wrinkle depth within 30 days. 99.77% of topical application deposits at or above the stratum corneum (Kraeling et al. 2015), which is exactly where expression lines form.
- Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 (PT-1): Activates TGF-β signalling, stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen. Palmitoylation increases skin diffusivity 2.7× versus unmodified peptides (CIR 2012). Published result: 4% increase in skin thickness and 23% flattening of wrinkle volume in 56 days.
- Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 (PT-7): Reduces IL-6 inflammatory cytokines, the pathway that breaks collagen down. Published result: 45% reduction in deep wrinkle surface area in 56 days. PT-1 builds collagen. PT-7 stops it being destroyed. Neither works fully without the other.
Vector ONE contains no fragrance of any kind, synthetic or natural. Fragrance is the #1 cause of cosmetic contact dermatitis and has zero therapeutic function. We excluded it.
The formula also contains no: parabens, sulfates, alcohol (ethanol), silicones, mineral oils, PEG compounds, or any of the 80+ restricted EU fragrance allergens under Regulation 2023/1545.
Full ingredient list is on every product page. No proprietary blend opacity.
